Card gymnastics: Alexandria second in CLC championships

Lori Mork, Echo Press Tahlia Bowden finished fifth on beam at the Central Lakes Conference gymnastics meet Saturday. Bowden and her team finished second at the meet and were second overall in the final CLC gymnastics standings.

Alexandria’s second place finish at the Central Lakes Conference championships on Saturday also earned the Cardinals an overall second place finish in the season standings, tying them with St. Cloud Apollo.

Briquelle Bowden finished second in the All-Around at the meet with a 36.3 after finishing seventh on vault, sixth on bars, sixth on floor and third on the beam.

Those finishes secured All-Conference honors for her as she finished fourth in the overall standings on the bars, and honorable mention on beam and floor.

Tahlia Bowden earned All-Conference honors on vault and floor with a seventh place overall finish, and was fourth overall on beam and fifth in the All-Around.

Hannah Wendel was 10th on vault to earn honorable mention in that event.
