Wedding - Fisher and Svobodny

Jeannie Fisher and John Svobodny were married on August 13, 2011 at Crystal Lake Golf Course in Lakeville. The groom’s uncle, Pastor Stephen Lien of Los Angeles, California officiated the ceremony.

Jeannie is the daughter of Jerry and Cindy Fisher of Dickinson, North Dakota. She graduated from Trinity High School in Dickinson, Minnesota State University-Moorhead and St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is employed at Lakeville Area Schools as a fifth grade teacher.

John is the son of Michael and Miriam Svobodny of Alexandria. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria and from Concordia University in St. Paul. He is employed as an IT project manager at VTI Security in Burnsville.

The bride’s attendants were Michelle Kalkman, Andrea Holmgren, Margaret Hoberg and Christa Bundt of Minnesota, and Kristen Svobodny of Chicago. The flower girl was Avery Fisher of Dickinson.

The groom’s attendants were Eric Svobodny, Adam Schotzko and Jake Capistrant of Minnesota; Nate Lien of Kansas City and Brian Fisher of Dickinson. Will Hasapopoulos and Ryan Svobodny were ushers. Alexander and Geoffrey Svobodny of Brookings were ring bearers.

The couple makes their home in Rosemount.
