Card gymnastics: Alexandria falls to Melrose

The Cardinal gymnasts fell to a strong Melrose team 149.625-136.75 on Monday night.

Briquelle Bowden was the high scorer in every event for the Cardinals. She finished fourth in the all around with a score of 36.525. Bowden took third on the beam (9.2), fourth on the bars (9.05) and fifth on the vault (9.0) and the floor (9.275).

Alexandria’s highest overall score came on the floor. The Cardinals finished with a team score of 35.175. Tahlia Bowden was sixth behind Briquelle at 9.25. Sarah Dolan was eighth (8.45), Rachel Sjostrand ninth (8.2) and Anna Spanbauer 10th.
