Kindergarten registration dates set

Registration dates for prospective District 206 kindergartners have been set for the 2012-13 school year.

To enter kindergarten, a child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2012. The free, all-day every-day kindergarten program is provided in all District 206 elementary schools.

Following is the schedule of informational parent meetings for each school (children do not need to attend):

• Lincoln Elementary – Thursday, February 16 at 4:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m., (320) 762-3320.

• Carlos Elementary – Thursday, February 16 at 5:30 p.m., (320) 852-7181.

• Garfield Elementary – Tuesday, February 21 at 6 p.m., (320) 834-2261.

• Miltona Science Magnet Elementary, a school choice for students in grades K-6 interested in science regardless of home school assignment – Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m., (218) 943-2371.

• Voyager Elementary – Thursday, February 23 at 5 p.m. or Friday, February 24 at 7:30 a.m., (320) 762-5437.

• Woodland Elementary – Thursday, February 23 at 6:30 p.m. or Friday, February 24 at 7 a.m., (320) 762-3300.

Brochures and a letter were mailed out. If you did not receive this mailing, contact Dottie Rajdl at (320) 762-2141, extension 4209 to verify your census information.

If you cannot attend the information meeting, contact your child’s school office to arrange to pick up your packet.

Attendance zones determine school assignments for all elementary students. For more information, call the transportation office at (320) 762-3317.
