Community Education in Alexandria is offering a course titled, Teach. Facilitate. Lead., for people interested in sharing their skills and knowledge by teaching a Community Education class.
Community Education in Alexandria is offering a course titled, Teach. Facilitate. Lead., for people interested in sharing their skills and knowledge by teaching a Community Education class.
Registration is required for the course offered on Thursday, February 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the media center at Discovery Middle School in Alexandria.
Teaching experience is not required to teach a class, but this session will help people learn how to organize a presentation, utilize technology and handouts, provide structure for an environment of positive and engaging interaction and incorporate the experience of participants.
This course is designed for those interested in learning and improving their facilitation skills.
The instructor is Bill Riggs, a retired social science and speech teacher, and Ed Porthan, a teacher, administrator and consultant in education.
