The Lakes Area alpine ski team finished second out of four teams at the Brainerd quad on January 30.
The Lakes Area alpine ski team finished second out of four teams at the Brainerd quad on January 30.
Wolfgang Brink led four Lakes Area skiers in the top 10 at the meet. Brink finished second, Patrick Backman sixth, Evan Ellison eighth and Andrew Backman ninth. Alexandria’s Katie Gieseke was the top finisher for the girls, taking 11th place out of 23 skiers. Madison Neulieb finished 23rd.
The Brainerd meet was the last tune-up for this team before taking part in the section meet at Afton Alps in Hastings tomorrow, Thursday.
