The Silverstreak wrestlers jumped out to an 18-0 lead over West Central Area in Prairie Conference wrestling Thursday night and went on to a 46-21 dual meet victory.

Brendon Coyer, Ryan Larson, Brandon Spanswick, Peter Hagen and Cody Adolphsen all earned wins by fall, while Trenton Coyer, Ryan Engfer, Austin Rollag, Austin Collins and Derek Carls won by decision.

OSAKIS SPLITS

The Osakis wrestlers split a pair of matches in the Osakis triangular Tusday night, defeating Browerville/Eagle Valley 45-27 and falling to Kimball 69-3.

In the win over the Rebels, Osakis picked up a win by decision from Trenton Coyer (106), and wins by pin from Ryan Engfer (126), Austin Rollag (145), Austin Collins (152), Peter Hagen (182) and Cody Adolphsen (195).

Brendon Coyer (113) and Garret Scherr (220) earned wins by forfeit.

The Silverstreaks’ only victory in their match with Kimball came at 220 pounds as Garret Scherr earned a 6-3 decision over Tim Konz.

West Central Area’s Kyle Martineau earned his 100th win Tuesday night as he pinned Wade Reece of Long Prairie-Grey Eagle in 14 seconds of his 132-pound match.

The Knights picked up a 39-33 victory over the Thunder as Ethan Supler pinned Devin Roering in 2:27 to break a 33-33 tie.

PANTHERS DROP TWO

Frazee blanked Parkers Prairie 78-0 as the Panthers gave up nine forfeits during the United North Central wrestling triangular in Menahga Tuesday.

The Panthers also gave up six forfeits to UNC with both teams forfeiting at 220 pounds as Parkers Prairie fell 48-24.

Tom Leeseberg, Kyle Schlosser, Josh McKeown and Logan Nibbe all earned wins in the second match.

Frazee defeated United North Central 43-13 in the third match.

WCC tourney

A tough year for the Minnewaska wrestlers saw them finish last in the West Central Conference championships Saturday at New London-Spicer.

The Lakers earned two fourth place finishes and two sixth place spots.

Ryan Stottler and Taylor Lundebrek were both 2-for-2, placing fourth, while Zach Steffensen and Brad Jacobs were 1-for 3, placing sixth.
