Two injured in crash on Highway 29 near Glenwood Wednesday

Two men were injured Wednesday morning in a crash on Highway 29 in Pope County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a pickup truck driven by Ronald T. Hayek, 26, of Glenwood spun out on the icy highway and was hit by Timothy J. Martin, 30, of Alexandria, who was southbound on Highway 29 when the crash happened.

Both men were transported to Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.

Hayek was transferred to St. Cloud Hospital in critical condition.

Martin was treated and released.

The crash, which occurred shortly before 8 a.m. in foggy conditions, backed up traffic on Highway 29 between Glenwood and Alexandria.
