Card gymnastics: Bowden second in all-around at Maple Lake Invitational

The Cardinal gymnasts traveled to Maple Lake last Saturday for the “Tumble in the Jungle” – an eight-team competition broken into sections that had the Cardinals facing off against Class AA’s No. 6 ranked East Ridge.

“It was definitely a close meet, as Alexandria was neck-and-neck with East Ridge on three of the four events,” said head coach Christine Reilly.

Alexandria trailed East Ridge by just 1.4 points in the final standings.

Tahlia Bowden earned second place in the all-around competition after finishing first on the beam, third on bars and fourth on floor.
