‘Freedom from Fears’ retreat set

A retreat titled “Freedom from Your Fears” will be offered at Mount Carmel Ministries near Alexandria Friday through Sunday, January 13-15.

Attendees can experience freedom in their life from the fears and habits that hold them captive.

This event is for anyone who understands the effect of addictive thinking and living and anyone who is interested in the freedom promised in the Bible and in the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).

One of the key themes centers on the question: “How free do you want to be? Participants will learn how to receive and give forgiveness.”

Friends of Mount Carmel will lead this retreat. Group processes will be used to learn the AA principles of admission, submission, restitution and maintenance and apply these to the obstacles to freedom. There will be small group sharing experiences as well.
