Card Nordic skiing: Alexandria 10th at Grand Rapids Invitational
Sieling 16th, Cal 29th in 6K pursuit event
The Alexandria Nordic ski teams traveled to Grand Rapids on December 30 and both the boys and girls came back with 10th-place finishes in a 6-K pursuit race.
Skiers skied the first three kilometers in a classical race before switching skies and completing the final three kilometers in a skate race.
Julia Sieling was the top finisher for either team. She finished 16th overall. Melissa Gromatka was 20th, while Lauren Hagstrom rounded out the top three for Alexandria with a 46th-place finish.
Cody Call led the Alexandria boys with a 29th-place finish. Pat Flynn came in 39th, while Eric Branch and Carl Branch were 59th and 60th, respectively.
