Married - Anderson and Strand

Katie Marie Anderson of Hoffman and Matthew Robert Strand of Mitchell, South Dakota were united in marriage on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Hoffman. Pastor Nathan Thompson officiated the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Paul and Carol Anderson of Hoffman and Wade and Jody Strand of Mitchell.

Honored guests in attendance were grandparents Betty Anderson, Elroy Anderson, Marilyn Strand, and Bob and Gail Carlson.

Matron of honor was Marisa Christopherson, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kenzie Reuss and Leah Trontvet, friends of the bride, and Megan Strand, sister-in-law of the groom. Brooke Anderson, godchild of the bride, was a junior bridesmaid. Jamie Taffe, Bethany Connell and Megan Pederson, cousins of the bride, were personal attendants.

Best man was Chris Strand, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jon Sievert, friend of the groom; Brent Anderson, brother of the bride and Brandon Bartscher, friend of the groom. Ushers were Benjamin Anderson and Ross Anderson, cousins of the bride; Matt Lang and Mike Nicholson, friends of the groom.

A reception, dinner and dance followed the ceremony at the Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria.

Katie is employed as a paraprofessional at Longfellow Elementary in Mitchell. Matt farms and owns Strand’s Auto Body Shop in Mitchell.

The couple resides in Mitchell.
