Any person interested in the freedom promised in the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is invited to meet on Saturday, December 10 at Mount Carmel to discover freedom from their fears.
In the past three years, Mount Carmel has hosted five weekend retreats on the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. One of the key themes of this weekend centers on the question, “How free do you want to be?”
This Saturday, friends of Mount Carmel will lead a one-day retreat for anyone who wants to go deeper with God into the biblical understanding of what freedom means in the power of Jesus Christ.
Participants will learn how to receive and give forgiveness. They will learn skills for letting the biblical word dwell in them more deeply.
There will be small group sharing experiences and a group process will be used to learn the AA principles of admission, submission, restitution and maintenance and apply these to the obstacles to freedom we face.
This event is open for anyone who understands the effect of addictive thinking and living.
The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Lunch and dinner will be served. Donations will be received to cover the cost. To register, call (320) 846-2744 or e-mail johan@MountCarmelMinistries.com.
