Bethany Community to present Vintage fashion show

Bethany Community in Alexandria will present a vintage fashion show featuring men’s and women’s apparel from the turn of the century through the 1970s.

The show is Friday, November 18 at 3 p.m. in the Bethany Community Chapel, 1020 Lark Street.

Kathy Ray of Barrett has collected vintage clothing for more than 20 years and has selected some classic pieces to be modeled at the show, including everyday wear, evening wear, sleep wear and swim wear.

Bethany staff, residents and community members will model the clothing while Ray narrates a description of the fabric, the designer, the style and where she acquired it.

There will be refreshments and a time to socialize and reminisce following the show.

There is no charge for this event; free will offerings will be accepted.
