Schmidt is Little Eight Conference volleyball MVP

Tamara Schmidt of Parkers Prairie was selected as the Little Eight Conference’s most valuable volleyball player as she led her Panther team to the LEC title.

Schmidt, a senior outside hitter, was joined on the LEC All-Conference team by senior outside hitter Kaylee Dorn, junior middle hitter/setter Madison Dorn and sophomore middle hitter/setter Micaela Noga.

Junior right front player Ally Taylor received honorable mention.

Brandon-Evansville’s Heather Strese, a senior outside hitter/middle hitter, and Kinsley Randt, a sophomore right side/libero, were selected for the All-Conference squad for the Chargers, as was senior outside hitter Ashley Ness of Ashby.

Charger seniors Tasmine Okerlund, right side/libero, and Brianna Bitzan, outside hitter, received honorable mention, as did Ashby sophomore right side player Amber Sundal.

Jenny Roisum of Battle Lake was named the LEC coach of the year.
