Country music workshop to be presented by The Roys
A workshop taught by award-winning country music duo, The Roys, will be presented on Saturday, November 12 at 3 p.m. in the auditorium at Central Square in Glenwood. The brother and sister duo, Lee and Elaine Roy, will cover the history of traditional country music and give participants a chance to learn more about the various bluegrass and country music singing styles and techniques for playing the musical instruments most often used in that genre.

The songwriters will also talk about how to craft a country or bluegrass song.
The workshop is free and open to the public of all ages. This activity has been made possible by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council through a Minnesota State Legislative appropriation.
The workshop is in addition to the concert that will be presented by Country Music Association’s female vocalist of the year, Janie Fricke and The Roys on Saturday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Historic Auditorium in Glenwood.
