Grief workshop offers tips to get through the holidays

The 21st annual “Getting Through the Holidays’ grief workshop is set for Thursday, November 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 822 Douglas Street in Alexandria. Insight and strategies will be provided by area professionals, and other holiday survivors will offer tips and suggestions to help ease the anxiety the holidays can bring after the passing of a loved one.

Insight and strategies will be provided by area professionals, and other holiday survivors will offer tips and suggestions to help ease the anxiety the holidays can bring after the passing of a loved one.

There is no charge; preregistration is not required. Refreshments will be served.

The event is sponsored by Anderson Funeral Care and Cremation, New Horizon Organization, Hospice of Douglas County, Area Parish Health Nurses, Elder Network, Alexandria Area Support Group for Grieving Parents and First Lutheran Church.
