Former Alexandria Beetle All-star Allen Craig earned a spot in history tonight, Friday, as he hit the go-ahead run for the St. Louis Cardinals, then grabbed the final out in a 6-2 win over the Texas Rangers to win game seven and the World Series championship title.
Craig finished the World Series with three home runs. He started in place of injured Matt Holliday.
