Vikingland Curing season starts soon

The Vikingland Curling Club, which has been throwing rocks down the ice at the Runestone Community Center on Wednesday nights since 2005, will open the 2011-2012 season next week.

Curling is a fast growing sport for all ages played with four players on a team. Each player takes turns sliding two polished granite stones down a sheet of pebbled ice to a target area called the house.

The 2011 league starts Wednesday night, October 26.

There are still openings in the league for teams, or those interested can register as individuals and will be placed on a team.

If interested, contact VCC by email at info@vikinglandcurling.org, by phone at (320) 852-8008 (ask for Troy) or visit www.vikinglandcurling.org.

Late entries may be accepted if there are still openings.
