Forum offers financial tools for exporters

The Minnesota Trade Office (MTO), in cooperation with Minnesota’s Small Business Development Centers, will hold an export financing forum in Alexandria soon.

The Minnesota Trade Office (MTO), in cooperation with Minnesota’s Small Business Development Centers, will hold an export financing forum in Alexandria soon.

The “Financial Tools for Exporters: Access to Working Capital and Solutions for Risk Management” is being offered at six locations throughout Minnesota on November 8-10.

It’s designed for business owners, financial executives and their bankers. It will offer financial strategies on how they can expand their international sales and reduce risk to their export operations.

Topics will include financial tools for export development financing, export working capital, and export credit and risk management. Individual meetings between businesses and presenters will be available.

Presenters include Carlos Sosa, regional manager, Export Solutions Group, U.S. Small Business Administration; Curt Hanson, founding principal, Trade Acceptance Group; John Novak, vice president, International Trade Services, Bremer Bank; and Jane Hay, vice president, Global Trade Services, U.S. Bank.

In Alexandria, the form will take place on Wednesday, November 9 at 8 a.m. at Alexandria City Hall, 704 Broadway.
