Cherry Street Books in Alexandria welcomes two Minnesota writers for book signings on Saturday, October 22 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Danelle Helget, author of Lost and Found, is from Sauk Rapids. Her book is a romantic thriller set in the Brainerd Lakes area.
Helget is a wife, mother and full-time daycare provider and is now expanding her horizons into the world of fiction writing.
Terry Degner has written a memoir, My Brave Little Man, of his early life in a troubled family, Duluth orphanage, multiple foster families and finally adoption by a farm couple near Wendell.
He graduated from Elbow Lake High School and the University of Minnesota. He served in the Navy, worked in sales and marketing, and has had a successful and interesting career as a writer/producer/director of video and multi-media productions.
He has taught television drama and script development and counts popular TV actor John Ritter among his students. He currently lives in Eden Prairie.
Degner was the presenter at the Alexandria Technical and Community College’s Senior College on Thursday, October 20 and is back in town for his book signing at Cherry Street Books.
