Jobs program exceeds performance standards

Rural Minnesota CEP, Inc. (RMCEP) has been awarded $37,739 in incentive funding for excellent performance in its Workforce Investment Act programs.
The standard for adults entering employment was set at 81 percent. RMCEP attained a rate of 97 percent. Of adults who found jobs, 89 percent were still employed after nine months, exceeding the standard of 81 percent.
The entered employment performance standard for dislocated workers, or workers who have been laid off, was set at 84 percent. Ninety eight percent of the dislocated workers who completed program services found jobs and 92 percent were still employed after nine months, exceeding the standard of 89 percent.
These results were attained through a combination of services tailored to each individual, including career planning, occupational training, resume building and job search activities. The services were provided at the WorkForce Centers, including the one in Alexandria.
