Area cross country: Knight runners place at HOL championships
Kylee Fernholz and Abby VanKempen finished fourth and fifth respectively to lead the West Central Area girls’ cross country team to a fifth place finish at the Heart O’ Lakes Conference championships Tuesday.
Fernholz was 19 seconds behind champion Emily Bakken of Pelican Rapids.
Alex Toms led the Knight boys’ team with a 19th place finish as West Central Area finished eighth overall.
