A variety of free events are planned this fall at the Douglas County Library for all ages, from infants through grade school.
A variety of free events are planned this fall at the Douglas County Library for all ages, from infants through grade school.
• October 4-28, a fall story time for preschoolers (ages 3 to 5) will be offered on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Stories, songs and crafts will be presented and no registration is required.
• Friday mornings, October 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. will feature a Mother Goose story time. This half-hour program is for children from birth to 24 months and their parents. Songs, finger plays, rhymes, movement activities and stories will be presented for babies and toddlers.
• Thursday, October 20 at 1:30 p.m. kids kindergarten through grade 5 are invited to “Little Monsters at the Library,” a craft program. Supplies will be provided.
• Thursday, October 27 at 5:30 p.m. the Douglas County Library and the Friends of the Library will present “Family Pumpkin Carving.” Pumpkins, a snack and a craft activity will be provided. Register for this event by October 20 by calling the library at (320) 762-3013.
