VA clinic offers flu vaccinations
To keep veterans healthy during the flu season, the St. Cloud VA Health Care System has scheduled several flu shot clinics this fall.
To keep veterans healthy during the flu season, the St. Cloud VA Health Care System has scheduled several flu shot clinics this fall. Flu shots for Veterans enrolled with the VA are free and an appointment is not necessary. The flu shots are available at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud or any of the VA’s three clinics across central Minnesota.
Spouses, caregivers, and veterans who are not enrolled for health care with the VA can also receive their seasonal flu vaccination on selected days and times. A fee of $27 is required, and may be paid in cash or billed to the individual’s health insurance. Spouses, caregivers and non-enrolled veterans should bring their insurance or Medicare card to the clinic.
Non-enrolled veterans may also obtain information on how to apply for VA health benefits at the flu clinics.
Clinic times at the Max J. Beilke CBOC, 515 22nd Avenue East, Alexandria, are as follows:
• October 7: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with shots for spouses available from 9 to 11 a.m.
• October 14: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Seasonal flu shots are also available during scheduled appointments at any of the St. Cloud VA locations.
All veterans are encouraged to enroll in the VA health care system. For information on enrolling for VA health care, contact the St. Cloud VA HCS Eligibility Office at (320) 255-6340.
