Walk to raise awareness about mental illnesses

More than 3,000 people from around the state are expected to join in NAMIWalks Minnesota, a 5K walk to raise awareness about mental illnesses on September 24 at 1 p.m., at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis and Whitney Memorial Park in St. Cloud.

More than 3,000 people from around the state are expected to join in NAMIWalks Minnesota, a 5K walk to raise awareness about mental illnesses on September 24 at 1 p.m., at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis and Whitney Memorial Park in St. Cloud.

The walk supports the efforts of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Minnesota, to provide education, support and advocacy for children and adults with mental illnesses and their families.

To register the day of the walk, arrive by 11:30 a.m. For online registration, including joining a walk team, call 1-888-NAMI-Helps or go to namihelps.org and click on the NAMIWalks logo.
