Alexandria, Minn., bicycle rider killed when hit by gravel truck on county road

Riding her bike on Monday, Judith Stumpf-Bolin, 73, of Alexandria was killed when she was hit by a gravel truck near the intersection of County Roads 44 and 22 in Alexandria.
She was taken to Douglas County Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
According to the Alexandria Police Department, a gravel truck, driven by Michael Steidl of Carlos, was westbound of County Road 22. It was reported that Stumpf-Bolin was westbound on County Road 44 and did not stop and entered the intersection. The truck hit the bike rider.
Steidl was not injured and APD officials say the case remains under investigation.
