Norwegian choir to perform in Alexandria

The Norwegian Male Choir, Løiten Sangforening, will perform a concert in Alexandria.

The event will be held at First Lutheran Church, 822 Douglas Street in Alexandria on Monday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m.

This concert is sponsored by Runic Vennskap Lodge 1-530 Sons of Norway.

The choir consists of 37 singers from the municipality of Løten, Hedmark County. It is under the direction of Pernille Stramrud (Nille). The skilled conductor has led the choir for the past 22 years.

In celebration of its 160th anniversary, the choir has embarked on a tour of Norwegian/American cultures in the U.S.

There is no admission charge for the performance; donations for the choir will be accepted.
