Winters in Minnesota are often cold and windy, but readers of the Echo Press feel that D Michael B’s has the best soup in town to defrost from the chill of outside.
“Our customers often come on specific days for our featured soup,” says Dave Bistodeau, owner of D Michael B’s in Alexandria.
Wednesday through Saturday, the restaurant features four different soups – on Wednesday it’s Polish potato soup, Thursdays beer cheese, Fridays clam chowder, and Saturdays chicken wild rice.
Bistodeau noted, “We make all of our soups from scratch, right out of the kitchen, and have been for 26 years.”
D Michael B’s chili – which comes out after Labor Day and stays through the fall and winter season – has also won many awards.
“Thank you to our customers for voting for us,” said Bistodeau. “We take pride in what we do – it’s nice to see that our customers like it.”
