Reader’s Choice Favorite Florist/Greenhouse

Bob and Lynelle Brickweg have operated Colorful Seasons in Alexandria for the past 22 years. They are currently celebrating their second year in the new garden center.

Lynelle said it was an honor to be named favorite greenhouse, and she attributes the honor to the fact that they offer so many things in one location.

“You can just come to one place and get all of your gardening needs taken care of,” she said.

Besides a large selection of annuals, perennials, house plants, shrubs, trees, bedding, soils, chemicals, waterfalls, pottery, bird baths and garden accessories, the garden center also has a variety of home decor items.

Colorful Seasons also offers a full line of landscape design and installation services, irrigation systems, retaining walls, pavers, and more.

“Our new garden center allowed us to expand our services and add more things to make it more convenient for our customers,” Lynelle said.

She added that the new store layout also makes it easier for employees to help the customers and see to their needs.

“It is so much more convenient for customers and employees alike,” she said.

Colorful Seasons – open year round – features a large variety of mums in the fall and will soon start growing poinsettias for the Christmas season.
