A 27-year-old pedestrian from Glenwood was killed in an accident near Lowry on Saturday.
Wesley Tessman was struck by a 2004 Saturn driven by James Poock, 34, of Glenwood, according to the State Patrol. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Poock, who was not injured, was charged Monday in Pope County District Court with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide and one count of failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving injury or death.
The crash happened on Highway 114 in Pope County, a two-lane undivided blacktop highway, at about 1:20 a.m. The accident report stated that the road conditions were dry.
