Rainbow Rider in Alexandria cuts hours due to shutdown

Although a tentative agreement has been reached to end the state government shutdown, its impact is lingering.

Although a tentative agreement has been reached to end the state government shutdown, its impact is lingering.

Because of the shutdown, the Rainbow Rider bus system announced that it is cutting back on its services.

Effective August 1, Rainbow Rider will no longer offer service after 5 p.m. or on Saturdays.

Also through the month of August, Rainbow Rider will suspend all Friday service in its service area.
