Shutdown pains at Lake Carlos State Park

State parks were closed last week and campers were asked to leave.

State parks were closed last week and campers were asked to leave. Although they were upset by the abrupt end to their holiday weekend plans, people left the campgrounds peacefully, according to Jeff Johanson, Department of Natural Resources conservation officer. Day use of the parks is discouraged due to safety risks and lack of cellular phone coverage in several areas.
