State girls' golf: Ross repeats as medalist, Minnewaska girls finish third

Osakis senior Kelsey Ross closed out her high school career with her second straight State Class A girls' golf championship, finishing with a two-day total of 160, just one stroke ahead of Steph Aanenson of Mounds Park Academy.

The Osakis girls finished fourth overall with a team total 736. Lewiston-Altura earned the team title with a 671.

The Minnewaska girls saw their streak of state championships come to an end as they finished third in the State Class AA tournament. Red Wing finally was able to grab the title, scoring a total 641, with Detroit Lakes second at 658 and Minnewaska third with 670.

Leading the Lakers was senior Sam Falk, who finished in eighth place with a two-day total of 160, while junior Brianna Janu was tied for ninth with a 162.

Anna Laorr of Breck was the individual champion with a 147.
