State Class A boys' track and field: West Central Area's Kashmark is Class A runner-up
The Knight senior finished second in the triple jump
Senior Beau Kashmark was responsible for all 11 points earned by the West Central Area boys’ track and field team at the State Class A meet over the weekend as she finished as runner-up in the triple jump and ninth in the long jump.
Kashmark had a jump of 43’ 9.75” in the triple jump, just 1.25” behind the winning jump belonging to Caleb Hamp-Sill of Two Harbers. Hamp-Sill also won the long jump with a leap of 21’ 0.25”, while Kashmark finished with 20’ 5.75” to finish ninth.
The Knight senior was also 12th in the high jump with a height of 6’. Aaron Wubben of Central Minnesota Christian was first with a height of 6’ 7”.
Senior Kyle Toms struggled in his 3,200-meter run event, finishing 16th with a time of 10:01.06. Mason Ferlic of Mounds Park was first with a 9:17.68.
