Behind , the Osakis girls' track and field team finished 11th at the State Class A meet at Hamline University in St. Paul Saturday.
The Silverstreak girls' 4x800 relay team of Taylor Kraemer, Aimee Allen, Hannah Szech and Becka Sadlemyer finished second with a time of 1:45.81, trailing state champion Breck, which finished with a 1:44.20. Makayla Hoglin, Allen, Calista Sadlemyer and Szech also finished second in the 4x400 relay as they ran a 3:58.78. Breck again won the title with a 3:57.70.
Osakis' Alexa Hoffarth, Allen, Kraemer and Sadlemyer finished sixth in the 4x100 relay with a time of 50.96. Pequot Lakes captured the title with a 50.21.
Heather Strese of Ashby/Brandon-Evansville was 14th in the shot put with a toss of 34' 1.5". Winning the event was Rebecca Osterdyk of Mora with a put of 43' 2".
The West Central Area boys finished 29th overall with 11 points as Beau Kashmark finished ninth in the long jump on day two with a jump of 20' 5.75". Caleb Hamp-Sill of Two Harbors was first with a jump of 21' 10.25". He was also tied for 12th in the high jump with a height of 6'. The event was won by Aaron Wubben of Central Minnesota Christian with a 6' 7" jump.
