FAHLUN HSTORY
In 1870, the Nelson Swedish community united in the task of selecting a burial site. In 1912, a 15-foot-high obelisk monument of polished red granite was erected to mark the site, which is two miles south of the present church.
Fahlun Lutheran Church was established in 1871. Its 95-foot tower and bell and its original pipe organ – installed in 1909 – make it a unique country church.
The public is invited to worship any Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. Fahlun is located three miles north and one mile east of Nelson.
