Library launches summer reading program

Readers of all ages will travel the globe this summer as the Douglas County Library presents, “One World, Many Stories” during its summer reading program.

Readers of all ages will travel the globe this summer as the Douglas County Library presents, “One World, Many Stories” during its summer reading program.

The summer reading program is open to children in preschool and elementary school with programs, prizes, a Lunch Bunch group and more. The program begins on Monday, June 13 and runs through the end of July. Families are invited to join the read-to-me portion of the program.

Participants can come to the library, check out new books and pick up a new prize each week at the children’s desk.

The program is free of charge. All prizes and decorations are donated by the Douglas County Friends of the Library.
