Freier's success in contest earns money for two local charities

Caitlin Freier of Alexandria was one of 12 women selected through the Main Street Model competition to represent maurices in a national ad campaign for the company’s fall clothing line.
Maurices’ photographers were in the area last week to conduct the shoot at the Knute Nelson Ballpark in Alexandria and the scenic overlook by Glenwood.
Freier will also receive $1,500 in maurices clothing, a flip video camera and $7,500 to be awarded directly to a community or charitable organization.
The 21-year-old student at Concordia College in Moorhead recently announced that she has selected the American Cancer Society Relay for Life to receive $6,000 and Wings Family Supportive Services to receive $1,500.
