The Minnewaska boys’ tennis team saw its season come to an end with a 4-3 loss to Foley in the Section 6A semifinals last week.
The Lakers took three of the four singles matches but were swept in the doubles lineup. Ben Peters and Dylan Hoffman won in tight two-set matches at first and second singles, respectively. Tanner Holten needed a third set but got the job done with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 win over Benjamin Hageman at third singles.
Foley controlled every other match in the lineup. The Falcons won in straight sets the rest of the way to advance to the section finals.
