Valdres Samband, an organization of descendents of immigrants from the Valdres Valley, Norway, will hold its annual Stevne or reunion June 9 – 11 at St. Cloud’s Best Western Kelly Inn, 100 - 4th Avenue South.
Begun in 1899, as a social and a heritage preservation organization, the Valdres Samband continues to flourish. This year’s stevne location provides Norwegian-Minnesotan families, especially, with a
unique opportunity to explore their heritage through seminars, music and food. With a vast Valdres database, the genealogy room offers a genealogist to help research family trees through family histories, books and maps.
Artisians and vendors of Norwegian cultural interest complement the event, and Sven and Ole jokes are shared over coffee. All interested in Norwegian culture and heritage are welcome to
