Storm knocks out power in Glenwood area this morning

A thunderstorm caused widespread power outages throughout the Glenwood area early Monday morning.
The outage happened at about 5:30 a.m., according to the Pope County Sheriff's Office. The outage affects Excel Energy customers in Glenwood, Lowry, Sedan, Starbuck, Villard and other areas.
Excel crews are working on the problem and hope to have power restored yet this morning.
