Due to high demand, Dakota Magic Casino and Resort in Hankinson, North Dakota has added more standard rooms and luxury suites.
The hotel was originally added to the casino in 2000 with 84 rooms. In 2003 an additional 15 rooms (plus two Hospitality Suites) were completed. The recently-finished renovation adds another 42 rooms to Dakota Magic Casino and Resort.
High demand for rooms throughout the work week and the increased attendance during Convention Center events made the decision to remodel an easy one, according to the resort. Hotel Manager Cheryl Renville was happy to have the addition and felt that there was little inconvenience to hotel guests during the construction: "We're pleased with the additional rooms, and with the quality of the rooms themselves. We're always happy to be able to welcome more guests."
Casino General Manager Danny White added, "With our hotel filled nearly every weekend, it's the kind of problem you want to have, and it shows we're having success. More rooms make for a better hotel, and a better hotel makes us a better casino."
Dakota Magic Casino is owned and operated by the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate, which also own and operate Dakota Connection Casino in Sisseton, South Dakota, and Dakota Sioux Casino near Watertown, South Dakota.
