DFL to discuss 'Aftershock'
This is an opportunity to discuss those events that caused the recent extreme economic downturn, efforts at recovery, and our national indebtedness.
The Douglas County DFL will hold a discussion on former Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich’s book, AFTERSHOCK: The Next Economy and America’s Future, on Thursday April 28 at 7 p.m. at the Alexandria Technical Community College, Room 205.
This is an opportunity to discuss those events that caused the recent extreme economic downturn, efforts at recovery, and our national indebtedness.
Reich is currently Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the University of California. He has served in three national administrations, authored 12 books, and is a regular commentator on economic issues.
Discussion moderators are Lowell Anderson, professor emeritus; Tom Obert, retired federal employee in Reich’s Department of Labor; and Joe Bestie, an experienced brokerage agent. This discussion is open to the public.
