Humane Society offers dog obedience classes

The Lakes Area Humane Society will hold a basic dog obedience class starting on Tuesday, April 26. The cost is $60 and the profits will be applied toward the operating expense of the animal shelter.

Having a well behaved dog makes the experience of having a pet much more enjoyable. Imagine being able to take your dog for a walk without it pulling you the entire way or imagine having a dog that sits quietly when company comes to the door.

The Lakes Area Humane Society will hold a basic dog obedience class starting on Tuesday, April 26. The cost is $60 and the profits will be applied toward the operating expense of the animal shelter.

This class will run one night per week for five weeks and will cover the basic obedience commands of “heel, sit, stay and come” and so much more. This class is appropriate for dogs of all ages and for all dog owners, no matter what level of experience they may have.

The instructor is Randy Buker, who has been teaching this class for nine years and has more than 30 years of professional dog training experience.

For more information or to register, call the Lakes Area Humane Society at (320) 759-2260.
