Red Cross seeks blood donors
The American Red Cross reminds eligible individuals that in about an hour, they can help save a life by donating blood.

The next opportunity to donate blood in Douglas County will be Monday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Armory, 311 Broadway Street in Alexandria.

All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply. A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age, weight at least 110 pounds and are in good health may be eligible to donate blood.
