Women's state bowlers converge on Garden Center Lanes

Nearly 500 women’s bowlers descended on the Garden Center Lanes last weekend for the Minnesota State United States Bowling Congress (USBC) 62nd annual women’s championships. The competition, which takes place on weekends from January 21 through May 2 at the Alexandria lanes, could see as many as 6,000 bowlers over the course of the competition, one of the largest events in the state. Some of the state’s best bowlers will be in attendance, with all levels of bowlers competing according to handicap, and champions in the four divisions - five-person team, four-person team, doubles and singles - will be crowned in May.
