Speech team takes sixth

On Saturday, March 26, the Alexandria speech team contended at the speech meet at St. Cloud Tech.

The team took sixth place as a team out of 18 competing schools. There were three rounds, an honors finals round and a final round.

Individual achievement for the honors final round in extemporaneous speaking went to Todd Johnson with the sixth place medal.

Individual achievements in the finals rounds went to Caroline Roers, who won the sixth place medal for great speeches; and Katelyn Steffel, who won the fourth place medal for poetry.

The team will compete on April 5 at the section tournament in Little Falls, which will determine which students will compete at the State Tournament later in April.
