Letter - Compare my 'hazardous' building to others in Alexandria
After being harassed for about 30 months, they were not done yet.
To the editor:
Some of you readers may remember the January letter titled “City wants my house.” They just wanted me to remove it so a church could have the property.
Drive by 315 5th Avenue East and compare it to some of the other properties. Compare it to some of the properties within four blocks of city hall.
If you think you have your property paid for, think again. The city council may declare it a hazardous building.
After being harassed for about 30 months, they were not done yet. Now the attorney for the city convinced a judge that his charges were fair. That is about as true as some of the other things he has said. The city now has a judgment against me for $4,948.50 plus interest.
You don’t have to tell the truth. Just keep on telling it long enough – someone will believe you.
