United Way needs volunteers to join a group that interviews agencies seeking to partner with United Way. View their applications and make recommendations on the amount they will receive. Take part in one of nine allocation panels scheduled for Monday through Thursday, April 11-14 from 8:30 a.m. to noon, 12:30 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. at the United Way office, 2504 Aga Drive in Alexandria.
Volunteers are also needed at the Mobile Food Drop on March 31 at 10 a.m. at New Life Christian Church in Alexandria.

District 206 needs volunteers to:
• Assist with one-time special events.
• Bring excitement and art awareness to 4th and 5th grade students by discussing well-known artists and their paintings through Masterpiece Art.
• Become a member of the puppetry team to present puppet shows to elementary classes.
